Volunteer Spotlight

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteer supporters and want to celebrate those who make our work possible.

Here is a selection of their stories, and the impact they have made for the people we support.

Evelyn Partners

The team from Evelyn Partners did an amazing job tidying up and restoring the nature path around our outdoor classroom, creating a space that is now enjoyed by the children, young people, and adults we support during their nature walks. In addition to their hard work, Evelyn Partners also made a generous donation of £50 per volunteer. With 21 volunteers on the day, that added up to an incredible £1,050 contribution to The Donaldson Trust.

Aviva

The wonderful team from Aviva spent a morning at our campus helping to tidy up the outdoor areas around our Treehouse and Gate services. With their gardening tools at the ready, they trimmed hedges, weeded, and tidied up the paths, making a huge difference in just a few hours. The trainees in our Treehouse and Gate services are enjoying the refreshed space even more!

“I really enjoyed doing something different, working with my team in a different setting and delivering a visible difference.”

NatWest

NatWest’s Gogarburn team braved the typical Scottish weather to clear up the area around our Outdoor Classroom and Car Park. Despite the rain, the team worked tirelessly, tidying up the grounds and making the space more accessible for the children, young people and adults we support. Their efforts have made a noticeable difference, and we’re so grateful for the time and energy they put in to improve our campus.

“Volunteering at The Donaldson Trust was a fantastic experience. Good physical exercise, combined with great team work and all for a great cause. Definitely a worthwhile thing for anyone to do!”
