As the National Body for Neurodiversity, we’re passionate about improving experiences and opportunities for neurodivergent people.

Our vision is of a society that understands, accepts, values and treats neurodivergent people fairly. That’s why our Connect service offers a range of training courses, bespoke support solutions, and consultancy and advice to help you create neuro-inclusive environments.

Why neuro-inclusion matters

Neurodivergent people face inequalities in many areas of life, including education, employment and healthcare. Societal views of neurodiversity and frameworks built around deficit and impairment need to change.

At The Donaldson Trust, we take a strengths-based model of difference approach, creating supportive environments where neurodivergent people feel understood, accepted and can thrive.

It is estimated that 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent – that means potentially around 15% of the UK population – these could be your customers, clients, or people you interact with, employ, teach or support – and across a variety of settings in all aspects of life.

Embracing neurodiversity in everyday life means creating an environment that is inclusive and supportive of neurodivergence.
