Scottish Labour Conference 2025

Our Policy Lead, Stephen Caulfield, represented the Trust at Scottish Labour’s annual conference in Glasgow on Friday 21st February.

Political parties’ conferences are a great way to engage with a whole host of stakeholders who have (or might yet have) an interest in our work including party members, elected politicians such as MSPs and Councillors, private business and corporations, journalists, and other third-sector practitioners.

Sharing his insights following the event, Stephen said:

A particular highlight of the conference was the chance to connect with partners – new and old. Lots of the work opportunities and connections that can be made at conferences such as Scottish Labour’s are spontaneous, or with organisations that might not immediately be associated with the Trust’s ‘core’ offers. Neuro-inclusive practices are relevant in all contexts and all sectors!

Engaging with decision-makers in such settings helps us build relationships that influence policy and drive societal change, while also creating new opportunities that enhance the support available for neurodivergent people. These connections are vital as we continue to grow our influence and expand our reach.
