Easter Break: Inclusive & Accessible Events Near You

The Easter break is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy quality time with your family and friends. However, for many neurodivergent children and young people, the disruption to their usual routine and structure can also bring challenges. To help make the most of the holiday, we’ve put together a list of fun and inclusive activities near you.

Glasgow’s Access Film Club

One to save for a rainy day! This inclusive film event, hosted at the Glasgow Film Theatre, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. The special edition will feature a screening of the award-winning short film Harmonic Spectrum, followed by a Q&A, as well as the animated comedy Fantastic Mr Fox by Wes Anderson. Edinburgh Science Festival

From April 5th to 20th, the Edinburgh Science Festival is offering a wealth of engaging activities suitable for all ages, with BSL-interpreted sessions, sensory backpacks, ear defenders, and quiet spaces available at all venues. Falkirk’s ASN Sports Camp

Active Schools are providing a free multi-sport camp that provide inclusive sessions throughout Falkirk. In collaboration with several local sports clubs, the ASN Sports Camp is a fantastic opportunity to stay active during the Easter break. Click here to see the full list of activities on offer

Xcite’s Swimming for All

Perfect for the whole family, these 60-minute ASN-friendly swimming sessions offer a fun experience for both parents and children. These sessions are available at both Bathgate and Linlithgow locations. Click here to find out more.

Falkirk Delivers: Easter in Wonderland

On Thursday 10th April at 10am, Falkirk Delivers are hosting a free ASN-friendly Easter-themed crafting session where children can enjoy hands-on creative activities. The one-hour session involves decorating flower pots, creating stained glass window eggs, and working on wooden Easter decorations. Click here for more information.
